Juice cleanses are getting more and more popular and are already a fixed part of the year for lots of people. But with so many juices in our shop, it can be hard to keep track and pick the right mix for your perfect cleanse. Each of our cold-pressed juices made from fresh fruit and veg has its own taste and properties. In this article we take a closer look at the different juices you typically find in a juice cleanse. Variety is on the menu, because you will never drink the same juice all day long! Find out more in this post!

The most important quality features of the juices in a juice cleanse
Taste: The most obvious quality feature is taste! Since you live on nothing but juices for 3, 5 or 7 days during your juice cleanse, you should really enjoy them. So if you don't know our juices yet, we recommend our sample set with all of our juice flavours. That way you can try your way through, study the ingredients and nutritional values in peace, and decide on a cleanse we have put together in the intensities Starter, Medium or Pro, or build your own personal cleanse with the Mix & Match function.
Freshness: Besides taste, freshness counts too! Fresh juices contain more nutrients than processed juices. The very best option would be to press all your juices fresh and drink them straight away. However, fresh pressing also has some downsides, which we look at in this article. That's why we are happy to take this off your hands: we press fresh for you and preserve the juices gently with HPP.
Variety of fruit and veg: A good juice cleanse also includes a variety of fruit and vegetables so you take in a broad range of nutrients. Different colours and types often mean different nutrients. That's why you'll find a wide range of green, red, yellow and orange juices with us.
No additives: High-quality juices also contain no additives such as sugar, preservatives or artificial flavours. They should be made purely from natural ingredients. The intense taste should come purely from the fruit and veg inside! That's what we stand for with our name: "frank." means "honest, open, free".
Cold pressing: Cold-pressed juices no longer contain the plant fibres that can put a strain on your digestion during a cleanse. As a result, the proportion of nutrients is also higher. Cold pressing with a slow juicer takes much longer than conventional blending, the way you might do it at home with a hand blender.
High pressure treatment: Juices treated with high pressure processing (HPP for short) keep longer than the original juices and still retain as many nutrients as possible. Heat-sensitive nutrients in particular can be destroyed by heat, whereas high pressure is the far more elaborate but also gentler alternative.

What's in the juices of your juice cleanse, and what they offer
The best juices for a juice cleanse contain a wide variety of fruit and vegetables that deliver a broad range of nutrients. Here are a few examples of ingredients that are often found in high-quality juices for a juice cleanse:
Dark green leafy veg: You'll find spinach or kale in Marvellous Greens, The Crocodile, The Purist or Lean Machine.
Root vegetables: You'll find carrots or beetroot in The Glow and in True Romance
Citrus fruits: You'll find oranges and lemons in The Glow, The Crocodile and Indian Sundaze.
Ginger: So that you can enjoy the Ayurvedic root too, you'll find ginger in juices such as Indian Sundaze and True Romance. For an extra kick we recommend our ginger shots, which you get for every day of a cleanse of 3 days or more!
Cucumber and celery: These two veggies are classics in the juices of a juice cleanse! Both are low in calories but high in water, which makes them especially refreshing. You'll find them in Marvellous Greens, Lean Machine and The Purist.
Green herbs: The aromatic herbs parsley, lemon balm and dandelion are in our Garden Brew.

White juices in the juice cleanse
You've spotted our Mister White and wonder what's in it and why it's part of all of our juice cleanses?
Compared to our fruit and veg juices, Mister White is richer and creamier. The "Nut M*lk" is made from crunchy blanched almonds enriched with banana, and gets its unique taste from lemon, agave, vanilla and cinnamon. We recommend drinking it as your last juice in the evening to help you sleep especially well. Did you love Mister White? Of course you can also order a box of 8 and enjoy it in everyday life after your cleanse!

What you can drink besides juices during a juice cleanse
If you drink all 6 juices on a cleanse day, you take in between 700 and 1000 calories and almost 2 litres of liquid, depending on the intensity. Alongside that we recommend unsweetened herbal teas, broth and plain water to counter any hunger pangs that might come up. That may be quite a bit more than you normally drink, and you might need the loo more often. Don't worry, that's normal!
