Are you toying with the idea of doing a juice cleanse and don't know how to start and what to keep in mind?
Whether you're a juice cleanse beginner or a pro, with our juice cleanse instructions your next fasting time will certainly be child's play! Find out what to keep in mind before and during juice fasting and what role the set order of the juices plays in your juice cleanse.
When and how do I start my juice cleanse?
We guarantee that the juices from frank. are as fresh 7 days after delivery as on the first day. It's important that you store them cool. That way, after placing your order, you have enough time for 1-3 preparation days.
When you start your juice cleanse is entirely up to you. Think about what appointments and events are coming up. If you're invited to a big birthday at the weekend or have arranged a dinner with friends, it makes little sense to start a juice cleanse in the middle of the week.
Factor in the preparation days too. If you still want to attend a big dinner invitation on Saturday evening or are invited to Sunday roast at your grandma's on Sunday, your start on Monday will be a real challenge. You also shouldn't be in an unusually stressful phase at work. Your performance can vary during your fasting phase and you should be able to allow yourself rest phases too.
You should also check your state of health. For a juice cleanse you should be healthy and have no weight problems. You should also be neither pregnant nor breastfeeding. You'll find more information on when a juice cleanse doesn't make sense in the relevant blog article.
If you have a quiet time ahead of you and feel physically fit, nothing stands in the way of juice fasting.
In which order do I take the juices?
Depending on which juice cleanse you choose, over a period of one, three, five or seven days you treat yourself to 6 delicious juices from fresh fruit and vegetables.
We recommend a particular order for each of our cleanses. We alternate our fruit juices with our green ones and finish each day with our delicious, filling almond milk "Weiss", which arms you for the night and ensures restful sleep.
If you complement your juice cleanse with a spicy ginger shot, we recommend drinking it for the natural freshness kick in the morning.
There is no fixed instruction for the drinking order, though! In the end it's your eating habits and your appetite that decide the order. It's best to make sure you take a juice about every two hours and don't drink your last juice too close to bedtime.

What do I need to keep in mind during my juice cleanse?
There are really only three things you should keep in mind before and during your juice cleanse. If you follow these three tips, hardly anything can go wrong with your fasting cleanse!
1. Good preparation is key!
To prepare you perfectly for your juice cleanse, we send you our Cleanse Guide by email with your order. In our booklet we show you all the tips and tricks around your juice cleanse. Also feel free to check out our blog article "Juice cleanse preparation: how to succeed with a juice cleanse!"!
It's important that in the days before your juice cleanse you already adjust your diet and plan your meals so that no food spoils over the fasting days. If you also find it hard to give up your favourite sweets, remove everything that tempts you from your home.
2. Drink, drink, drink!
During your juice cleanse you should take your juices at regular intervals and also drink plenty. Besides water, you're welcome to prepare teas such as the Frank Teas ReCharge, Feel Good and Calm Down, or broth.
Especially if you're struggling with fasting symptoms such as headaches, it can be a sign that you should drink even more.

3. Move - even when it's hard!
We recommend moving regularly during the fasting days. Plan a walk in the fresh air during your lunch break or after work, or roll out your mat for a round of yoga right after getting up. Any form of movement will help get your cardiovascular system going and counteract muscle loss.
Movement is especially important to combat fasting symptoms such as feeling cold and dizziness.
What do I do if I get hungry during my juice cleanse?
From our own experience we know that real hunger rarely occurs during a juice cleanse. Since you treat yourself to a juice every two hours, your stomach is filled throughout and, unlike with classic therapeutic fasting, doesn't stay empty.
Rather, it can happen that at the start of your fasting cleanse you feel appetite or the urge to get something between your teeth. If it comes to that, we recommend trying a tea or chewing gum.
If you really can't go on and your hunger tempts you to give up, lightly steam some vegetables in a pan.
What should I keep in mind when breaking the fast?
On the last day of your juice cleanse you've almost made it. You'll see, your thoughts will revolve around your first solid meal and everything delicious that will be cooked afterwards.
It's important not to overdo it in your euphoria, because your digestive tract has to get used to solid food again first. To begin with we recommend trying something easily digestible like porridge, fruit compote with yoghurt, a soup or steamed vegetables.
Make sure your first meal is neither too heavily spiced nor contains too much fat.
Take your time with your first meal and listen to your body. You're already full after a few spoonfuls? Then take it slowly and don't force yourself to eat.
