6 questions for frank. Juices
Classic juices are pasteurised to preserve them. This means that they are briefly heated to approx. 60 to 90°C in order to kill microorganisms and thus extend their shelf life. However, heat-sensitive nutrients are also destroyed in the process. The flavour can also suffer! The juices from frank. are preserved using the HPP method. This means that the juices are exposed to high pressure instead of heat. This also kills microorganisms, but retains the concentration of nutrients as much as possible. What's more, frank. juices have raw food quality!
In addition to the nutrients from fruit and vegetables, the juices contain selected micronutrients for your well-being. In The Crocodile, for example, we have integrated vitamin B6 and B12 to help combat stress*.
Our juices from frank. are clear and contain no bits of fruit or vegetables or leftover peel. That's because the solid plant parts are separated from the liquid ones, so the concentrated form of nutrients ends up in the bottle as juice. Smoothies are "creamy" because other parts of the plant are processed too. That means smoothies do contain more fibre, but that's not the point of a fasting cleanse that aims to give your digestive tract a break! On top of that, smoothies often contain added sugar, colourings and preservatives – and those definitely don't end up in our bottles.
We completely avoid the quality-reducing process of pasteurisation and the use of preservatives. For this reason our juices are delicate and have a limited shelf life: we guarantee a shelf life of about 14 days after delivery.
Of course – every juice from frank. is vegan unless we explicitly say otherwise. We only use carefully selected fruit and vegetables, functional plant extracts and micronutrients! You'll find the exact composition of each juice in its nutritional information.
For optimal nutrient content and the best possible freshness, we recommend storing your juices at 2°C to a maximum of 8°C for about 14 days after delivery, somewhere as dark as possible – ideally in the fridge. Don't always have a fridge on hand? Whenever you can, carry your juices in a cooler bag to keep their quality intact.
Our juices are pure natural products! They get their intense colours and flavours from the field-fresh fruit and vegetable varieties. We do not add any flavourings or colourings to our bottles. This is why the colours and flavours may vary slightly.

The Crocodile schmeckt super fruchtig, da Gurke und Spinat geschmacklich in den Hintergrund treten. Trotzdem trinkt man natürlich noch extra Vitamine aus dem Gemüse mit! Total praktisch an Tagen, an denen die Mahlzeiten nicht so nährstoffreich ausfallen, wie man es gerne hätte.
